This is a great conversion done several years ago by Arthur Hatfield. These early post-war banjos are known for their great wood with some being leftover from the Prewar era. These RB-100's originally had a 1/4" brass hoop for a "tone ring". This banjo's rim was cut down for a flathead full weight tone ring. There are dings and wear here and there, but nothing uncommon for a 64 year old banjo. The pot retains all the original hardware with the exception of an added Presto tailpiece. One of the best features of this banjo are the Hopper cam tuners. These same type were used by Earl Scruggs himself and rightfully so since the work GREAT! The neck has a speed-neck finish. Another great feature is the modern "The Gibson" case by TKL. These cases are bringing great money recently and I thought this combo would be appealing. 5th string spikes are at 7, 8, 9, and 10. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
