For sale is 1929 Gibson 9271-16, The “Irvin O. Kenen”. More info and pics can be found on the Earnest Banjo website. The pot is all original with the exception of the armrest, tail piece, and one nut on the tension hoop. This has chrome plated hardware, and a mahogany resonator with concentric rings. It has since been converted with a Frank Neat mahogany neck, with Keith D-Tuners, and a Sullivan conversion ring(uncut rim). The neck is an older Neat neck, which was on another TB-4 that I have, for which I had an extra neck made. I had Frank refret and fit the neck to this pot last fall. The neck has a few sings near the top, but they are hardly noticeable when playing. Also had Charlie Cushman do a setup on it last fall also. There is a link to a video of Charlie playing it. It has been virtually unplayed since then. As you can see, the original tenor neck came with Bella Voce inlays, which is common in this batch. It comes with the original tenor neck, archtop tone ring, and original case. It also comes with a new Gator hard shell case. Please contact me with any questions. There are more pics under my profile and photo album. I also can send more pics. Thanks for looking.
