Here is a rare opportunity to own a fantastic pre-war Gibson. I bought this from the second owner in the early 2000s because of the it factor. I had finally found the banjo that had the tone I was hearing in my head.
Originally an arch top, I had it cut to fit a flathead Berlile tone ring and a custom built five string neck. Every part on the banjo is original except the head, the neck and the tone ring. She shows she has been played a lot over the years sporting the original finish as well as lots of patina on the nickel finish. I've always been a believer that the more an instrument is played, the more it opens up over the years. I guarantee you will be amazed when you tune her up.
The absolute only trades I would consider would be a 1960-63 100% original Fender electric basses.
I’m not playing banjo anymore and that’s the only reason she’s for sale. I've sold every other banjo but this one. I have much more invested then what I’m asking so after much research, I think this is a fair asking price. With that being said, I will consider fair offers. She ships in the Price case shown, including the cover and my favorite Huber strap.
