The Weymann piccolo banjo has a 7” pot with a fairly thick ½” 5-ply maple rim. It is equipped with a patented neck angle adjuster, and the tone ring is a metal ring, probably brass, with a countersunk spun over metal sleeve to hold it in place against the rim. The piccolo is a professional quality, solidly built instrument that plays well and is surprisingly loud with nylon strings ( I suppose you could set it up with steel strings as well though I have always used nylon). This instrument is in exceptionally fine condition. Neck is flat, and the action & playability are great. Scale length is only 13 ¾”. Typically I tune it one octave above classic banjo tuning (G5, C4, G4, B4, D5) with LaBella Banjo Set No. 17 nylon strings (approximate gauges .019, .025W, .028, .022, .019). Non-original hardshell case. Great little banjo. Also for sale on Reverb (store name is gweetarpicker) with a few more photos.
