One of the Gibson alternate brands, Kel Kroyden instruments are known for their Spartan appointments, but sturdy build. The tone is quite remarkable in these budget-priced offerings from Kalamazoo. Players poured over the mail order catalogs of merchandisers such as J.W. Jenkins, hoping to find that bargain musical instrument that would make life more enjoyable. Many found just such an instrument sporting the Kel Kroyden logo. This model KK-20 mandolin corresponds exactly to the rarely seen Gibson C-1 model, made only in 1932.
Well played and well enjoyed by previous owners, this Kel Kroyden features a solid Spruce top and dark stained flat back and sides, nice straight neck with a user friendly profile. You can't go wrong with this one.
