This banjo was custom made for me at the OME factory in Boulder. At that time, they had one remaining LEGAL Brazilian rosewood radiused fingerboard, and designed this banjo around it. The neck is a walnut speed neck, with a walnut finish resonator. The inlays are abalone with the OME Megatone tone ring and 3-ply maple rim. The banjo would be nearest the Professional Sweetgrass model on their website, but again was a custom make for me.
Please see the pictures. This banjo positively glows and as part of my collection, has not been played that much. I have replaced the head because of wear, and it simply looks brand new now. Full disclosure - This neck truss rod cannot be adjusted at the peghead, only at the pot end. Although removal of the neck is required to do so, I have not had to do this ever in the 3 years I have owned the banjo.
I am divesting my banjo collection (moving to smaller digs) and practically giving this banjo away. I paid $4900.
