Fretless 5-string conversion. Started out as a new Gretsch 1883 openback. I removed the frets and filled the grooves with epoxy. Then I scooped the lower fretboard. Then I upgraded the tuning heads to closed heads with matching geared 5th string tuner. Then added a raised 5th string clawhammer style bridge for good measure. Ships in a sturdy and protective Road Runner backpack style soft case. This banjo plays really nicely. I have since moved on to a custom model. If you have been wanting to try a fretless banjo, or add a fretless to your stock at a bargain price, this one is as good as it gets! $50 flat fee shipping to lower 48 only.
