Ok.I said I wasn't going to do this, but I have my eye on something so here goes.Ive got an incredible sounding banjo for sale. When I bought the pot I was told it was a 1949 style 100 rim.I don't know for sure maybe somebody who knows something about Gibson serial numbers could let me know for sure. The reso is a 30 s style 00.Either reskinned or came from factory with very nice flame maple.wbw binding added.I had a prewar E -2 brass tension hoop and a repaired prewar one piece flange I swapped out for the hardware that was on it.Also a drilled prewar presto. I'm not sure about the hooks and nuts, but they are old too.I have a two piece prewar armrest I'm going to put it.I had Ron Coleman make me a neck out of old growth mahogany. The finger board is Brazilian rosewood so dark it almost looks like ebony.I had him make it with a wider profile. It is a dream to play. Spikes at 7 and 9.Also speed necked.I just installed a Jerry Sloan tonering in it a couple weeks ago.All I can say is wow.Im sure some folks are going to tell me $3500.00 is too much money for a parts banjo.Well these are some fine parts. So let's just leave it at that. Also has a pre epa head on it.D tuners and strap not included.Ships in a nice hard shell case.Any way I'll get pics up asap. Thanks for looking.
