1969 Vega Maple Ranger 5-Sting Banjo in great condition featuring a vibrant two-color sunburst finish on its curly maple resonator.
This banjo has been well-maintained overall. I have updated and set-up the banjo where needed to bring out its best.
Updates include an Elite fiberskyn head, ebony and hard maple 3-leg bridge, Golden Gate geared 5th string tuner, and decorative armrest. The action has been set for comfort and ease of play.
The maple resonator and maple tone-ring provide a warm and lovely sound.
The original Waverly open back tuners and Waverly tailpiece are in great shape.
The maple neck and head stock feature mother of pearl inlays.
The 5th string capo was factory installed and works flawlessly.
The frets and wires show virtually no wear. There is almost no sign of age at all on this classic.
Comes with the vintage teardrop hard shell case and genuine leather strap shown in the pictures.
Overall, this is a beauty. A very clean and well-made example of Vega's traditional heritage and quality.
