This is a rare Ward tenor banjo made by Gibson around 1936-37.
This one had the coveted prewar flange and was flat and in great shape.
I will be keeping the flange but if anyone wants a thin rim prewar rim which is only .015-.020 out of round which is very good and the resonator is of the flat variety like it's brother the Kalamazoo but it has double binding which is cool!
I am selling the rim, with the skin head and tension hoop and the co-rod with washers and nuts along with the matching resonator.
Please look at the WARD sticker in the resonator inside, never seen that before and never seen the "Slingerland Radio King" stamp on inside of the skin head which could be original to the banjo.
BTW, I tried a new RK flange on this rim and it would fit the rim without cutting anything if anyone should want to put this thing back together as a prewar pot.
Resonator lugs not included in sale........

Thanks for looking
