Gibson TB2 conversion with Don Bryant reproduction mahogany neck.
FON 8245-39, do not have the original neck. Nick Lucas inlay pattern with a speed neck option.
Don is so good, he actually created a knurl top on the resonator attachment screws to make it easier to remove the resonator. He took the original shafts and …… you can see the results.
Fantastic condition, metal is original but like new, resonator has no major scratches nor gouges. This is not a Presto tailpiece, but a quality original five string tail piece that came on Jedson banjos in the 20's and 30's.
The tone ring is not a single brass rod hoop, but a tubular ring similar to those used on ball bearing style Mastertone banjos.
In my opinion, I would never convert a banjo of this style, it holds it own against heavier banjos, but your back will appreciate it.
Will come in a quality flat top hard shell case.
