This is an early 30's Stella Banjo, 19 fret resonator tenor with a 23 inch scale. It plays like new, and it can be played with the resonator or as an open back. The ivoroid fretboard, frets, neck, bridge, pot, and tuners are in great shape. The pot is round and unwarped. The dowel and neck are straight and solid. The resonator has a slight warp which doesn't affect the sound at all and isn't unsightly. The original Champion tuners work as they did new. The bridge and skin head are in great shape! Some of the original hooks and nuts were replaced at different times over the last 80 years, but all work perfect and there is no warp in the pot. The neck joint and dowel are in perfect shape! No case, but will ship with care.
