1930 Style 2 Walnut Gibson Banjo, JUST GORGEOUS !! This has a Yates flat head No Hole tone ring. It also has Ron Barnes Pre War style Catalin Buttons. A beautiful Leaves & Bows conversion neck with a slant Gibson logo. GREAT METAL and a perfectly punched Pre War Presto Original tailpiece. The resonator AND neck are BOTH WALNUT ! A GREAT sounding banjo with the crispness of maple and the warmth of mahogany. Walnut is much desired and they were more rare than other woods. ALSO it has a beautiful Reddish/Brown color rather than the washed out or faded look of many walnut banjos. I had the neck to match the resonator which had this richer color to it. Also GREAT QUILTING or CURL on the walnut resonator. This banjo has also had a second coordinator rod added for stability and strength of tone. Just a great sounding banjo.
Style 2's in this condition and color are rare.
