PRICE REDUCED! The name Paul Beuscher will be familiar to those who frequent music shops in Paris. The Paul Beuscher stores were the first importer of Gibson guitars in France and they imported all types of musical instruments. Their own branded stringed instruments were mainly crafted in Spain and the U.S.
?This beautifully appointed mandolin at first glance has adornments usually reserved for the ornate bowl back mandolins from the late 19th century. This example features a spruce top bordered with alternate pieces of rosewood and ivoroid and a pick guard featuring a pearl engraved butterfly in its first stage of metamorphoses! Its sides and one-piece flat back are Brazilian rosewood bound with maple and the fret board is ebonized with beautiful original amber buttoned tuners. This mandolin is quite playable and the tone is sweet. It would make an excellent choice for classical mandolin styles as well as old-time folk or even blues.
