I have up for sale my 1966 Gibson Epiphone. This is a rare U.S. made Gibson Epiphone (manufactured in Kalamazoo, MI), much better than the later "Gibson-made" Epiphones (or "Masterbuilts" which were made in Japan, Korea and China. This banjo is essentially an RB-100 with a tone ring installed. Only 421 total produced. This one is one of 36 made in 1966.
I am selling this workhorse of a banjo due to extenuating financial circumstances. I got this last November in a trade.
I need to sell this banjo outright. I would like to get $1400, but no reasonable offer will be refused.
This is one absolute monster banjo, and is no amateur instrument. Fully professional quality. I have personally disassembled and given this instrument a complete setup. Ron Stewart has played these and has referred to them as "killer." That is no understatement. This banjo has a really nice growl and crackle to it. Fee free to email me for video files!
