REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE!
Genuine 1920s John Grey 5-string banjo.
Resonator and shell engraved enamelled Benares brass in wonderful condition - see pics.
One careful owner since new, (Pam's Uncle Hugh Stratherne) so it's in immaculate condition - slight patina to the brass here and there, but unblemished and bright throughout.
the beautiful Benares brass resonator removes via a single central screw (see pic), to give a lighter, open-back instrument, which is still resonant and loud.
Warm, mellow tone.
Vellum has age patina, but totally sound and taut.
Has been set up, cleaned and polished professionally one year ago.
Comes with arm rest and plec shield.
In original, rather battered case.
