This is the best sounding no hole conversion I have ever owned.
My main banjo is a 1927 no hole Granada PB three conversion. Gibson’s no hole archtop tone ring was only produced in 1927. It has a singularly unique tone and is my personal favorite. If not for my recent acquisition of the no hole Granada, I would never sell this banjo. Over the years I’ve had six, including an original Gibson RB 3 which sold five years ago for $27,000. This sounds like a sales pitch which it is, but know this is the best sounding of any I’ve owned or played. The resonator is the definition of an authentic relic. The Robin Smith neck is as good as it gets and it’s always great to have the original tenor neck. This is as good of a Gibson TB 3 prewar conversion as it gets short of a one piece flange flat Head.
