This is an excellent reference book of Bob Dylan lyrics from 1961 - 2012 (688 pages). I recently found a few of these books. These list for $60.00, but I see them on eBay for $20.00, so I am pricing to that. The book is organized chronologically by album, and I really love it. I am hoping to pass these extras on to another fan to enjoy at a cheap price.

Description from retailer:

Synopsis
A beautiful, comprehensive volume of Dylan s lyrics, from the beginning of his career through the present day with the songwriter s edits to dozens of songs, appearing here for the first time. Bob Dylan is one of the most important songwriters of our time, responsible for modern classics such as Like a Rolling Stone, Mr. Tambourine Man, and The Times They Are a-Changin . "The Lyrics "is a comprehensive and definitive collection of Dylan s most recent writing as well as the early works that are such an essential part of the canon. Well known for changing the lyrics to even his best-loved songs, Dylan has edited dozens of songs for this volume, making "The Lyrics "a must-read for everyone from fanatics to casual fans.", A major publishing event--a beautiful, comprehensive collection of the lyrics of Bob Dylan with artwork from thirty-three albums, edited and with an introduction by Christopher Ricks. As it was well put by Al Kooper (the man behind the organ on "Like a Rolling Stone"), "Bob is the equivalent of William Shakespeare. What Shakespeare did in his time, Bob does in his time." Christopher Ricks, editor of T. S. Eliot, Samuel Beckett, Tennyson, and The Oxford Book of English Verse, has no argument with Mr. Kooper's assessment, and Dylan is attended to accordingly in this authoritative edition of his lyrics. In the words of Ricks: "For fifty years, all the world has delighted in Bob Dylan's books of words and more than words: provocative, mysterious, touching, baffling, not-to-be-pinned-down, intriguing, and a reminder that genius is free to do as it chooses. And, again and again, these are not the words that he sings on the initially released albums." This edition changes things, giving us the words from officially released studio and live recordings, as well as selected variant lyrics and revisions to these, recent revisions and retrospective ones; and, from the archives, words that, till now, have not been published. "The Lyrics," edited with diligence by Christopher Ricks, Lisa Nemrow, and Julie Nemrow. As set down, as sung, and as sung again., A major publishing event--for the first time, a beautiful, comprehensive collection of lyrics of music legend and poet Bob Dylan, complete with in-depth annotations by Christopher Ricks. This definitive collection brings together the entire catalogue of lyrics by Bob Dylan, one of the most legendary songwriters in history. From his early protest songs, like "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a Changing" to his revolutionary "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and "Like a Rolling Stone," Dylan's music has entertained and inspired generations and influenced such artists as John Lennon, Paul Simon, and Neil Young. This is the ultimate volume for any Dylan fan, containing the entire Dylan canon, a wide array of original album art, and in-depth commentary and annotations from literary critic and acclaimed Dylan expert Christopher Ricks. "The Complete Annotated Lyrics" marks a major publishing event, perfect for Dylan devotees of course, but also a unique gift for anyone interested in poetry or visually stunning books., A major publishing event-a beautiful, comprehensive collection of the lyrics of Bob Dylan with artwork from thirty-three albums, edited and with an introduction by Christopher Ricks. Reviews
Reviews "This Nobel acknowledges what we've long sensed to be true: that Mr. Dylan is among the most authentic voices America has produced, a maker of images as audacious and resonant as anything in Walt Whitman or Emily Dickinson." --Dwight Garner, The New York Times "The Nobel Prize in Literature confirms his status as something more than a songwriter of a kind with those who preceded him. For those who follow him closely, savoring his witticisms, poignant observations and the unexpected word at precisely the right time, the acknowledgment is long overdue, with all respect to Messrs. Murakami, Roth, Sondheim and others. Sentence by sentence and verse by verse, Mr. Dylan's body of work is worthy of maximum celebration." --Jim Fusilli, The Wall Street Journal "The Nobel committee got this right--Dylan's ongoing achievement in American song is a literary feat to celebrate in this gaudiest of ways." --Rob Sheffield, Rolling Stone "He was the rebel, the healer, the bard in blue jeans and oversized shades who sang a generation through war and peace, past the perils of unrest and self-complacency. . . . And now Dylan has entered that pantheon, shoving against the boundaries of the definition of 'literature' just as he pushed past so many borders in music." --Carolyn Kellogg, Los Angeles Times
