Here's a nice 1970s Fender Artist as played by Bill Emerson during that period. The resonator is walnut, the neck is three pieces (walnut with a center strip of maple) and the hardware is chrome plated. Schaller d-tuners have been installed on the second and third strings, a Waverly planetary fifth-string tuner has been installed, and the first and fourth string tuners may have been replaced. The tailpiece is a replacement nickel-plated Presto. Railroad spikes have been installed at frets seven, eight, nine and ten. There are holes in the side of the neck from a removed fifth-string capo. The frets are in good shape and the condition overall is excellent with just one noticeable ding in the resonator binding and one not-very-noticeable ding on the front of the peghead. The hardshell case appears to be original. For more photos, please visit earnestbanjo.com/fender_artist_01877.htm Sorry, no trades.
