This super clean banjo built by Grant Wickland is an example of an instrument where he has indeed achieved his goal of building the best instrument for an affordable price. This beautiful open back banjo built in his shop in in Salt Springs British Columbia bears the serial number 1047, constructed of black walnut with ebony fingerboard and tubaphone tone ring delivers a wonderful full bodied tone and responsive volume. Solid as a rock representative of its robust construction with reinforced rims and fine workmanship - what an instrument at such a reasonable price. The scale length measures 26-1/2" with a 1-3/8 wide nut. I don't see a mark on it, it plays wonderfully and comes in the original super clean hard shell case. You'll love the solid wood Little Mountain arm rest (removable) on this banjo. I have sold a lot of open back banjos and this one really stands out.
