1994 (2/24/94) Gibson RB-1 re-issue Rim(BGR1RA NH1 from packing slip included.) The banjo was converted prior to my finding it, and has been cut for an unplated Blaylock light weight 20 hole tone ring (4003 LW) , it has a nice full tone, and I apologize as I forgot to get pics and weight of the ring while I had it off the rim which had a nice snug slip fit. Bill makes great rings to be sure. The neck is nice curly maple, with Flying eagle inlay pattern, a few of the inlays have fills. I don't know who made the neck, but it is a nice quality piece with a beefy truss rod. The resonator was destroyed in shipping and I was able to buy this lovely birds-eye maple Gill Pre-War style from a hangout member and it looks great. It has three lugs installed, (a fourth is in the case pocket and the rim has the fourth bracket in place if you want to add the lug. The sides match the neck well. I believe the hardware is original with the Gibson logo on the flange. Tuners work well with no issues. A very good player with nice components. These Re-issues were not produced for very long as I understand it, I am guessing that Gibson was trying to fit something into a mid price point with no ring and many if not most have been cut like this one. Not a collectors instrument in any way, but a solid player. I am including lots of pictures, I can't accurately weigh it for comparison, but it does have a slightly lighter heft on the shoulder which is helpful in those long sessions. Shipping USPS Priority fully insured for $75 with adult signature required at delivery ( to be sure this isn't left unattended on the porch or stoop) as soon as payment is completed/cleared. Happy to answer any questions as best I can and if you have better info than I have posted, feel free to pass it along so everyone has as clear a picture of this pro grade Gibson as possible. Lastly 1994, the end of the Greg Rich era banjos? :)
$1050 is for banjo only , case to be sold separately, thanks
