Here is a pre war Gibson TB-2 that has been converted by cutting the rim and adding a Huber vintage tone ring. I made the neck with the original tenor neck overlay. I copied the scrimshawed not stenciled style 2 board from a pristine style 2 off Greg Earnest's site. The neck plays great and is shaped similar to an old bowtie neck I liked. It is a great sounding old banjo. FON 9878-17 in resonator and rim with non mastertone label. Metal is in great shape armrest shows wear but who don't! The resonator has some rash and I wiped a small amount of walnut oil on it to help keep it from being too brittle ( photo). Set up with Huber head and bridge. Feel free to ask any questions.
MODIFICATION (OPTION) I know the neck may be a sticking point for some so, I had a Frank Neat walnut flying eagle neck that presently is being placed on the style 2 pot at the Huber shop (no photos) so it is available in that configuration also. Either neck or both! Also now a sound file added under my music on my hangout homepage TB-2 sound bite. Check it out! ThanksnD
