This is a sweet 1928 Gibson TB-2 Conversion banjo number 8851-29. The banjo is an original Pyramid with the addition of a nice mahogany conversion neck with Nick Lucas inlays, prewar Presto Grover punched tailpiece, Pre-EPA Remo head, roasted maple bridge, prewar Grover tuners, second coordinator rod added, second resonator binding added, and the original hard shell case. The banjo was set up by the Pyramid expert Don Bryant and it sounds absolutely wonderful. Listen to the sound files under my music tab. The banjo has a few dings here and there but is in overall excellent condition and has that nice light weight with growling prewar Gibson sound.
