This is a late 60's Fender Artist Banjo that is in remarkable, absolutely pristine condition. Still housed in the original case, that is in fairly good condition, with a few nicks here and there, but overall very good. Banjo has a set of Keith tuners for the 2nd and 3rd strings that were serviced by Mr. Keith about year or so before he passed with new felts, screws, cleaning and lubrication.
The Plating, fingerboard, frets, finish and all are in superb shape. This year/model has the narrow neck and the ball type thumb screws that hold the resonator to the flange.
I believe the only way one would find one better than this one you would have to go back to that time period and have Leo Fender build you a new one.
Note: Width at nut is 1 3/16th!
Includes the original HSC case or I have a new plush lined HSC.......your choice!
