The banjo shown is a Vegavox I made in 1971. Although an M is on the tag inside, (indicating Martin), the banjo was one of the last made by Vega before the MA plant closed (as indicated on the inside on the same tag). In one photo, there is a small cut in the bottom square part of the tone ring inside, (I have owned and played this banjo for years with no problems). The armrest does show wear, (so, I am including a new gold one and a plastic upper part that can be put on the armrest to save the plating). Otherwise, this banjo is like new! Finish, frets, straight neck, etc. Check the photos! Many Voxes weren't assembled properly, so the sound is only fair. This banjo sounds great. The cheap aluminum tension bolts have been replaced (correctly) with brass ones, a new head, a Farquhar bridge and set-up has also been done. Plays like butter with a nice shaped neck. The hard case with it is in excellent condition, (gray inside). Compare the condition/pictures of this banjo with others for sale - you'll be impressed. Nothing needs to be done to this instrument. Shipping cost will depend on where the banjo is to go. I don't play tenor banjo anymore, otherwise this banjo would not be listed. Questions welcomed. - Bob
