This sound of this guitar can be heard in so many hits of Rock, Pop and Country music since the late 1950's, 60's and 70's, that it has become a "must have" for anyone trying to reproduce the tones of these past eras. The neck profile favors finger style and Chet Atkins style players, but all styles play well on this guitar as heard on works by George Harrison, Brian Setzer, Stephen Stills and hundreds of others. This Country Gentleman circa 1972 features a Bigsby Tremelo, Filtertron Pickups (Gretsch's answer to the Gibson Humbuckers), zero fret, floating bridge, and Grover diecast tuners. This model also features open f-holes and therefore does not require the "pizza hole cover" on the back side of those Gretsch's that have the painted f-holes. These vintage guitars are hard to find, and even harder to find in excellent condition. Original heel cover plate and new heel cover plate (see group photo). Original case candy and original HSC.
