Really great Gibson Custom Two Piece Flange Gold Plated RB3 with 1925 Mastertone headstock. Teriffic woods. Rich dry tone. Pro setup originally part of the JLS collection. The late owner had many custom banjos made to his specs and he did not fool around with copies. however there is no label on the rim and no serial number. I've had over 100 Gibson Mastertone banjos and plenty of copies and would swear this is Gibson all the way. That being said, I cannot guarantee that it is not a copy and if it is it's one of the best I've ever seen and played. The price listed is much lower than it would be if it had a serial number. I've had hundreds of bluegrass banjos of all kinds, pre-war and post war and I can tell you that everything smells Gibson Custom. The neck is outstanding and the woods are top notch. This configuration clearly was not a Gibson production line banjo as it is a 2 piece flange with gold plating and a 1925 Gibson Mastertone Headstock HSC
