Pisgah 12” fretless with Dobson tone ring, maple rim and neck, #205. Purchased over the phone from Donald Zepp on the last day his store was open. Played only lightly by me. I have now settled on a hybrid fretless for playing and this fine little banjo needs a home. Functionally its perfect. It did arrive from Zepp with a little ding in the headstock – see photo. Does not affect playability or tone. Except for the headstock ding (see photo) it is in excellent condition, the ding is the only reason fro the "very good" designation. I have used nylon and steel - both are great. Currently strung with Carl Sands nylon strings.
Measurements: the Pisgah standard scale is 26.25” but I tend to move the bridge to shorten the length. Nut width is 1 3/8” (maybe 1 7/16”).
Pisgah banjos are USA made from sustainable hardwoods in a shop that is 100% solar powered. The persimmon fingerboard gives a distinct visual pleasure. Banjo has a full responsive tone. Priced to move at $750 including shipping. Prefer PayPal and I’ll pay the fees! Check or money order are cool, too.
Shipping included if going to continental US. Will be well-packed in the same box and materials that I received from Zepp Country Music.
This banjo did not come with a case or gig bag. (It will fit snugly in a Boulder Alpine Series 11” gig bag.)
