This is a replica of a style 12. It's walnut with a top tension style resonator (flat inside). The neck was made by the late Marion Kirk and has "Kirk" written in the truss rod cavity. You can Google him or search here on the hangout for information about him. It is a flat fingerboard instead of radiused as an original 12 would be. It has a Tony Pass rim and the hardware is all of very high quality, but unknown origin. My guess is that this was made entirely by Marion Kirk in the 1970s or 1980s (the resonator and neck are dead matches) and at some time later the original rim was swapped for the Tony Pass rim. But, that's just a guess. I bought it from a Hangout member, who had been told when he bought it used that it had a Granada tone ring. It is a gold high quality ring, so that may be correct.
Comes with a black "The Gibson" case in very good condition. Keith D Tuners on 2 and 3. Two Kat Eyes Bridges. Top Tension Key. Spikes on 7,8,9,and 10. Let me know if you have any questions.
