You can check out the review of this banjo which I posted on the BHO. **Click the "more info" link below for a video demo.**

I've taken it apart, reassembled it (so the brackets can properly tension the head), replaced and trimmed the bridge, put on a new bone nut, a set of planetary tuners, and black tuner knobs.

Didn't quite make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but considering all, it is now a surprisingly easy-to-play and decent-sounding banjo, and not too bad looking, either.

Note that this actually IS an "A-scale" banjo!
Most of the imported short-scale "travel" 5-stringers I've seen have ~20" scales, and are meant to be tuned to C, 5 frets above standard G. You're lucky if you can get one sounding passable in A, and forget about G.
This banjo has a scale length of 23", which is about 2.5 frets shorter than the common standard 26-3/16". The strings have a normal feel and response at A pitch. With medium strings, it's not terribly loose or hard to keep in tune at standard G.

The original lightweight gigbag is included.

Please contact me through the Banjo Hangout if you have any questions.

Thanks for looking!
