This is one of the most unusual prewar Gibson banjos I've ever seen. Likely made by a Gibson employee for his personal use, I think it's safe to say this is a one-of-a-kind banjo. It features an original twenty-hole, high-profile, chrome-plated flathead tone ring weighing one pound, fourteen ounces. Two of the Grover two-band tuners are prewar replacements; everything else is original and it even includes a Rogers calfskin head. Please see the link below for full photos and information.
