This is a mahogany neck that Frank built for Sammy Shelor several years back for his prewar flat head style 75.
This neck has some pretty good provenance as was probably used on several of his earlier “Lonesome River Band” recordings.
I replaced 12 frets on this neck when I got it from Sammy so all frets are in new condition!
It has Waverly tuners and Schaller 5th tuner which were what Sammy had on it when it came to me and they all work fine.
I really had planned on keeping this neck for myself just because of it being Sammy’s neck but I need to come up with some funds fast to cover another
prewar banjo part to go on one of my other prewars that is gonna set me back quite a few dollars!
If I can’t get $1500.00 for this neck I will keep it and sell something else.
If you consider what Frank gets for his new necks now with a full set of tuners then it may not be such a bad deal especially if owning one of Sammy’s necks would be special to anyone else like it is to me!
Neck is the typical brown red mahogany color and in good condition with no issues.
Banjo pot in pics not included this is for neck and tuners only.
Thanks for looking.
