1990 Gibson RB-1 neck and resonator. The neck has been upgraded with new stainless steel frets and style 7 bowtie inlays, by Clifford Seales, who does the pearl cutting and inlay for several builders on the Hangout.
As can be seen in the photos, there is a line under the handstop that appears to be a crack. Most who have examined this neck feel that the line is only in the lacquer. The neck stays in tune and pressure applied to test for weakness in the line area does not produce any change in the line. The camera flash produced an image which highlights the line. In person, the line is usually not noticed unless it is pointed out.
Because of this line issue, I am offering the neck and resonator at a lower than normal price. The resonator has no issues. The finish of the neck is very good except for a small scar in the lacquer on the heel. The heel of the neck has never been re-cut for use on multiple pots. The tuners are not included.
