JUST IN! About as clean, an early 60's RB 250 bowtie as you're likely to see. Just shy of mint.... Much less than expected "checking" or "spiderwebbing" of finish. Very little, to nearly none, rash, scratches, or wear to resonator! EXTREMELY CLEAN TO VERY VERY GOOD! Time capsule! This banjo is, as best I can tell, all original w/ the exception of the 5th string tuning peg, (original included, in case pocket) and the rim. (and the Head, strings, and bridge of course!) Had the factory thin rim, now has a full thickness rim - this is, (IMHO) an upgrade anway; An original early 60's thin rim can be included of course.... (I have several) not from this particular banjo but .... most from that time period had no serial/FON/batch number or sticker on it anyway.... I check the ser number to be 1963. pics coming. 20 hole Flathead. Banjo sounds great. Plays very well. Spikes at A and B. Huber Bridge, Pre-EPA Remo head. Original Neck in fantastic shape. Original frets with lots of life left. NO CAPO marks on back of neck! Appears to be nearly all chrome hardware. Has included, the original (or at least a period correct) Lifton "built like a fortress" case, also in extremely good shape. As with most banjos or parts I post - price is negotiable. I don't want this banjo hanging around too long.... or I might be inclined to remove it as "for sale".... (will add some pics after while)
