For the life of me I can not get my banjo pics to upload on this classifieds page but were able to put them on the swap shop forum.

This is out of my personal collection and is probably the nicest conditon 1949 RB150 you will ever find!
Banjo shows no playing wear at all, has original frets, no spikes ever been put in neck nor sliding capo.
Original thick rim with hoop making it an archtop just the way it came from Gibson.
Original friction fifth tuner, nice small good playing neck like the early ones were.
Serial number in rim is 882-10.
This banjo has never seen much playing time at all!
It sounds awesome to me! Listen to sound byte.
I put a set of Gotoh tuners on the banjo and re-shaped the tuner buttons (bowtie shaped) to match banjo better.
I have the original Klusons that came on it, has all grommets and screws so they can be put back on banjo for originality.......the old Klusons were sorry tuners in my opinion 12-1 ratio I believe and were very heavy and bulky which I always felt hurt the sound of those old bowtie banjos some.
Someone installed the cam tuners probably back in the 60s when that was the thing to do back then I guess.
They work surprising good. Lots of people take them off and patch the holes but there were so many of them added to these bowties years ago, it kinda like nostalgia because that was all I saw when I was starting out on the banjo.
This a a great player as well as a good one to collect because it is in such great shape.
