(PRICE REDUCED!) - SOLD, BUYER IS HAPPY! I'll take the ad down in a day or two. You won't see many of these come up for sale... (actually I don't think you'd see another one of these come up for sale!) A Jimmy Cox built Raymond Fairchild 50th anniversary, supposedly the ONLY gold plated banjo in that particular batch; if I'm wrong about that I stand corrected! Banjo is about 10 years old or thereabouts. Gold Plating is in fantastic shape. Flathead, two piece flange, entire banjo is immaculate. Five star tuners. Frets have very little to no wear, 5th string spikes at A and B. 5/8" Snuffy Smith bridge, frosted Remo Head. Plays GREAT, Sounds GREAT! TKL case in very good shape. As with most instruments I post, the price is negotiable. To be quite frank... I'm not 100% sure where I should price this banjo... so pay no attention to the posted price... if interested make a reasonable offer and don't be surprised if I accept it... a new/similiar banjo by cox is priced more than this, close to 4K i think... in my book older is nearly always better! THE PRICE HAS BEEN LOWERED AGAIN! AND I MIGHT BE INCLINED TO HELP WITH SHIPPING! if i can't this or very close to this daggone it i'll just pull it off here and put it away. doesn't eat a thing....
