1968 Gibson Bowtie RB250. All original, w/ these exceptions - it did come w/ thin rim. It now has a full thickness Cox rim in it, which is beautiful, and fits perfectly. The banjo sounds great, and if i may be so bold, better than it probably should, and better than it probably did w/ the original ring. The banjo does include the original rim. It also has a Blaylock tone ring installed at this time. The original ring is not included; i didn't get it, never had it, nor (i suppose) did the previous owner. The fifth string peg is a modern geared peg, the original friction peg is included, and is in the case pocket. Right now the banjo has a Pre - EPA head on it which is in fine shape, and an Arthur Hatfield bridge. The case is, (I think) a period correct case, but is the better case that one might ocasionally see with these banjos, and it actually fits the banjo properly, and is in great shape. The price is somewhat negotiable... but a banjo this extraordinarily clean, of this era priced at what it is, with all original parts and some extra parts thrown in at "basically" no extra money..., well, I'm not going to give it away! Most, if not all, of the hardware appears to be chrome. this isn't uncommon of course. All the hardware is in fine shape. If any interest give me a shout or email, and of course i'll be happy to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for looking and happy picking!
