I know very little of this tailpiece. I was in a case that held a recent banjo purchase. I have asked about among people whose opinions I respect and they tell me these are quite the collectable item. This one has a minor flaw in that 1/2 of one of the tines ,see the picture on the upper and lower right,has been broken. it is the one that would hold the lower string. I believe that it could be repaired or used with loop string ends. If you have a use for this ,let me know
