Hot off my lathe! Here we have a very beautiful hand-crafted "Pass style" Cherry Block Rim, turned for a REMOVABLE Granadillo Tone Ring! We have had great success making a versatile "Woody" removable tonering combination for the players wanting to add more DEPTH and GROWL to their banjo sound. The removable tonering will allow you the versatility of switching "back to brass" or back to "woody" for a change of taste and pace without having to purchase of another banjo!
The sound of Granadillo on Cherry is awesome!; You will achieve more middle-range frequency 'growl' without sacrificing volume and drive while escaping some of the unwanted "tininess" of brass overtones. (We also make Honduran Rosewood, Tiete Rosewood, and Brazilian Cherry, and Coyote Wood *removable* tone rings.)
Pot assembly specs: (All rim-rod holes are drilled for Stew-mac hardware diameters--35mm spacing center holes.)
Rim: Northern Black Cherry turned for a *1 piece* Gibson style flange.
Height: 2 1/8"

*Removable* Granadillo Tone Ring (made to Mastertone/5 Star flathead brass ring specs.)
