This is an *exceptional* sounding bluegrass banjo. Powerful, rich, responsive and just downright loud. When Todd brought this banjo over for me to post it on the classifieds, I had secret thoughts of running away with it. It's that good. (just kidding Todd...) This is one of the best straight forward mahogany banjos I've ever played. I can see why the Sullivan rim and ring have gotten such positive reviews.
Bill Sullivan fit the Thunderbird ring and Factory Floor rim to the flange himself prior to his passing. Bill sent the rim/ring to Frank Neat who built this banjo around those components.
This banjo is one of three that I've been asked to sell for Todd Sullivan aka "Cripplecreeker" on the BHO. I have the banjos in my posession and can answer any questions you may have as well as put you in touch with Todd if needed.
