Here's a fantastic example of an Original Flathead "Sparkle 6" from Gibson in late 1928 F.O.N. 9242-25. The Style 6 was highly decorative with its gold plated and engraved hardware along with the sparkle binding. These are well known for fabulous response and tone with the lighter weight high profile flathead tone ring. These banjo's came from the factory with a "Vibrato Tone-Master" mute which was removed at some point. This one remains in beautiful condition with a new curly maple neck by Richie Dotson. The neck is an absolute stunner with a brass truss rod cover customized with the factory order number. If you need additional pictures of have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking!
