Up for sale: a nearly new 2025 Pisgah Dobson Pro 12" in excellent condition. Bought just a few months ago and barely played — this is a fantastic opportunity to get a premium, USA-made Pisgah at a significant discount.
Current new retail price for this model typically runs $2,800–$2,949 (or more depending on the retailer). With all the upgrades and extras included here, you're getting it for more than $800 less than new — a true value on one of Pisgah's flagship open-backs.
Why the Dobson Pro Stands Out:
Dobson tone ring (modeled after the classic 1881 patent) – delivers that sweet, plunky old-time tone with excellent projection, responsiveness, volume, and sustain. Lightweight yet powerful — perfect for clawhammer, frailing, or melodic playing. It is extremely light weight.
Beautiful stained curly maple neck and 12" rim – striking figure and warm tonal contribution.
Short 25.5" scale length – super comfortable and easy to play for hours.
Slotted headstock, folk heel, Richlite fingerboard, two-way adjustable truss rod, Gotoh tuners, Hawktail tailpiece, and aged brass Balsam Banjoworks hardware (all USA-made).
Traditional dowel stick construction with 18-notched tension hoop and Delrin nut.
Currently fitted with a Pisgah Fiberskyn head (warmer and more responsive than synthetic) — original Remo Renaissance head included too.
Included Extras:
Pisgah-branded Access Stage One padded gig bag with PBCO logo
Original paperwork and Pisgah Limited Lifetime Warranty
Lightly used Pisgah trucker hat thrown in for fun
The banjo shows no noticeable wear — neck, pot, hardware, and finish all look fantastic. Action height is now currently almost perfect at the 12th fret (for my taste) at 2.5-3.0mm with 11/16 bridge and easily lowered with 5/8 bridge (included). It plays light, feels great in the hands, and has that classic Pisgah responsiveness and tone players love.
