I built this banjo from parts on hand. Includes a "Made in Korea" Fender neck; New Cox (I believe) Burl Walnut Resonator with me adding binding and finish; Tim Davis Memphis Bell Tone Ring. Believe me, this one is stellar!!! Gold Star pot assembly metal parts. 40 year old, 3-ply maple rim in new condition. I refinished the peghead, worked on the frets and set the neck to the pot with a nice low action and added a wonderful 5/8" Kat Eyz Prowler banjo bridge. Comes with a 40 year old clear 5-star head. I did note some scratches on the head when using the drum dial--dang it--this never happened before. Invisible when playing. Includes new hardshell case. The 4th AND 3rd string are truly monsters. See the sound file below under "More Info URL". I love the sound of this banjo. It is on par with banjos, double the price. If you've ever wanted to purchase your "final banjo" but could never afford the massive price tag, this one will amaze you. I would be proud to make this my only bluegrass banjo.
