Mahogany neck by the late Don Wilson. Features a Gibson-type double-cut headstock and engraved Vega No. 7 inlay slightly modified to include a Freemason’s compass (15th fret) and cross (22nd fret). Very confident this neck has the most pearl I have ever seen on a neck.
Cut for one-piece flange. Lag bolts installed. Worked well for me with both 5/8 and .656 bridges.
This neck has what I consider a medium “C” profile and plays very well. It does have some light play wear/scuffs and a slight finish flaw at the back of the neck near the 12th fret from apparently reacting with a neck rest in a prior case.
A curved-body 5th tuner I assume to be a Kroll installed. No tuners on 1 through 4.
