Lyon & Healy "American Conservatory" banjo made in Chicago1900-1925..Most of these models were tenors; this one is 5-string, which is rare. The frets and mother-of-pearl inlays are all original and in excellent condition. The finish is original and in excellent antique condition. This banjo has been set up for steel strings: four gold-plated Gotoh geared tuners in the peghead with a matching nickel plated Gotoh 5th string tuner. New Sullivan HISTORIC maple bridge, original Kershner tailpiece stamp with 1914 and 1916 patents, and new set of D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings.. New synthetic banjo head. Standard 27" scale with 11" pot. Wonderful sounding banjo that is both easy to play and easy on the ears!..no trades.. I donate to the Hangout… Thanks for looking
