1929 was the year Gibson introduced the "flathead" tone ring to the market place. The Style 6 was available in several different configurations of archtop, flathead, RB, TB, and PT. This banjo F.O.N. 9360-14 was a TB-6 and retains its "light-weight" 20-hole flathead tone ring. The neck was made by well known northeast OH luthier Jim Selman who was a key figure in the Gibson Prewar banjo arena of restoring, acquiring, and building conversion necks. This neck is fantastic with a great profile and Keith Bump tuners installed. All tuners were recently serviced by Dean Meece. The Prewar gold patina is fabulous on the metal giving the vintage character. If you need additional pictures or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking.
