Marriage of a 1930’s Tubaphone rim with a 1960’s Vega 26” scale neck
Dowel stick serial number matches the rim.
This Vega conversion was done at Intermountain guitar & banjo in Salt Lake City by Leo Coulson
This is a really fine budget Tubaphone that would make a great festival banjo or 2nd banjo - or even your main banjo.
Very comfortable neck & powerful Tubaphone sound
Currently has a renaissance head which was lightly painted white on the underside to take away the translucence and give the banjo a more traditional look. I also have a fiberskyn if you would rather that option (I can switch them out if you’d like)
The gig bag is functional; however, the outer pocket is missing. It zips fine and keeps the banjo safe.
