Beautiful 2021 Pisgah Possum banjo, one of the most popular models in the Pisgah lineup. Crafted in North Carolina, this banjo showcases high-quality construction and materials, including a 12” cherry rim, short 25 1/2” scale, and aged brass hardware by Balsam Banjoworks. It has a paddle headstock, folk heel, standard frailing scoop, and traditional dowel stick construction, along with a quilted star inlay, walnut face dots, and a Remo Renaissance head. It also features Gotoh tuners, a two-way adjustable truss rod, a traditional tailpiece, and an 18-notched tension hoop—all adding up to a top-tier old-time banjo feel and playability.
This instrument has seen very light use and is in excellent condition, with no dings, dents, or scratches. I’m only parting with it to transition to a heavier banjo with a metal tone ring.
