This banjo has a clear and powerful tone all across the fretboard. Ornate and colorful inlay details on the fretboard and peg head. “Ome” branded 200 tone ring, tailpiece, armrest, flange and stretcher. Upgraded with Rickard tuners (all 5). All the metal work shines like new. Resonator has no significant marks or scratches and looks new. There has been a repair and here are the details: the heel suffered a partial crack presumably from rough handling during shipping. It’s also possible that the crack was caused by the upper lag being driven too deep and its point acted as a wedge that caused the split. Either way, the crack was only on one side of the heel and the heel never broke off. I repaired the crack by weeping thin superglue (stewmac) into the crack, removing the tip end of the lag making it blunt, and by gluing a 1/4” maple dowel through the heel effectively pinning the heel to the neck. The dowel was glued with Titebond wood glue and I added a little glue into the hole for the lag. With the resonator installed, the repair is hardly noticeable.
