Authentic prewar Gibson hardware that I salvaged from a parts banjo not long ago. This was all nickel plated that someone plated over with Gold some time ago. Original nickel finish visible in some parts.
Keep the gold plating for that "old gold patina look" or you can buff/polish it off to bring back the nickel.
